Street Closings

Downtown Keene will be closed to traffic on October 20, 2007 for the Pumpkin Festival. This includes Central Square and Main Street down to Water Street which will be blocked off for the duration of the Festival which runs from 10AM-9PM. Main Street will close at 6am (Saturday) to allow for festival set-up and will reopen as soon as Festival clean-up allows.

Parking

There will be a $5.00 per passenger car charge to park in event parking lots on the day of the festival.  There will be a $30 charge per bus.

The following parking lots will be available for event parking, thanks to the generosity of these local organizations:

  • Smiths Medical in Black Brook
  • Peerless Insurance Co. on Maple Avenue
  • Markem Corp. off Optical Avenue
  • C&S Wholesale Grocer on Optical Avenue
  • Timken on Optical Avenue
  • Cheshire Fairgrounds on Route 12
Just follow the directions of the parking attendants in any of the above lots and then hop on the next shuttle bus, provided by Laidlaw Education Services, to the Pumpkin Festival. Buses will be available to take you back to your car from 10:30AM -11:00PM.

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped parking is available in front of the Keene Middle School (look for signs on the meters).

Shuttle Bus Service

We are offering a number of City Bus Stops in convenient locations. Bus service will be available from 10:30AM - 11:00PM.

Tour Bus Parking

There are two parking options for tour buses:

  1. Close to the footprint of the festival for a $300.00 fee.
  2. Off-site parking lots for a $30.00 fee.
